What is your role?
I look after six of our key national new homes accounts, recruiting against the terms of the preferred supplier list. I strive to look after clients’ needs and to provide great customer service.
What did you do before joining U&P?
I’ve been in recruitment for nine years, working across different sectors, including engineering, construction and now new homes.
Why did you join U&P?
The main reason was that new homes is niche; there are not many agencies that deal solely with this sector. Most agencies who cover this sector are construction agencies who then work on New Homes sales. Having previously had experience of working in specialist markets, I knew it would suit me. Also, U&P are established and have a strong brand presence in the market place.
What’s great about working for U&P?
The general wide appeal of the team. There’s a strong team ethic, we’re not micro-managed, and are left to be autonomous recruitment consultants.
What did you want to be when you were at school?
A fighter pilot!
What’s your favourite place to visit in the UK?
Marwell Zoo. It’s a nice relaxed environment, where I can unwind with my wife and forget about phones and emails.
What made you choose your current home?
The location. It has great transport links, including rail and road.
What would be the setting of your dream home?
On a hillside in a valley on the South Downs. Perhaps south of Alton.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I’m a keen cinema goer, and like to stay in shape by either mountain biking or going to the gym. I also enjoy eating good food with friends.
