What is your role?
I’m the Recruitment Administrator, and it’s a very busy role! I cover duties such as: compliance, pre-preparation for payroll, support our temp consultants, look after agency worker regulations, request POs, support our management and some finance work.

What did you do before joining U&P?
I was the Recruitment Manager for a Catering and Hospitality agency for five years. I managed accounts for well-known events such as the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Royal Ascot and Newbury Hennessey Festival. During the course of the role I looked after the Queen, and the Ruler of Dubai—oh, and I once fixed Jeremy Kyle’s phone!

I was also an overseas holiday rep for 10 years, worked in customer service, and have been a chef.

Why did you join U&P?
I was looking for something different, so I spoke with Tim and Richard, and was delighted to find that they create job roles around the individual—which suited me.

What’s great about working for U&P?
Oh, lots! I self-manage, am empowered to do my job, and we have a great support network. Tim is a great director—and oozes passion and care for the team, and is always stretching us to get things done.

What did you want to be when you were at school?
I didn’t know what I wanted to be—I feel there’s so much pressure on kids to decide these days.

What are your favourite places to visit in the UK?
Helensburgh in Scotland is a beautiful place. I’m also a big fan of Newbury, and think Newcastle has a great vibe.

What made you choose your current home?
My family live opposite, I like the area, and there’s a good selection of pubs close by.

What would be the setting of your dream home?
Somewhere warm, close to a beach, not touristy, slightly rural, and not too hilly. Ideally it would have a swimming pool and be somewhere I can find my inner peace.

What do you enjoy outside of work?
Choreographing—I take and teach dance classes (clubbercise). I used to be a performer when I was a holiday rep. I also like spending time with my friends, and love to travel. I definitely have itchy feet!
